Benicia Home Sales Report For March 2009

benicia-home-sales-mar-09Want to know what every home that closed escrow last month sold for? This month’s Benicia Home Sales Report has all that and more.

Along with the selling price, you can see the closing date, original list price, final list price, days on market, net price change from start to finish and even whether it was  bank-owned (REO) or a short sale.

A few highlights from last month’s sales report:

  • The highest sales price for the month was on a home on Brown Ct. which sold for $609,000.
  • The lowest sales price was a Bay View Villas condominium on Southampton Rd. that sold for $105,000.
  • 16 of the 20 sales were distress sales (short sales or REOs).
  • The longest time on the market was for a home on Military East which was on the market for 285 days.
  • The biggest price drop was for that same home on Military East, which ultimately reduced the price by almost $150,000 from its original starting price.
  • 16 of the 20 sales sold for less than their original asking price.
