Weekly Solano Real Estate Report For Sept. 7: Supply Nosedives In Vaca…Up Everywhere Else
September 9th, 2009 categories: Benicia, Buying, Fairfield-Gr Valley, Selling, Solano, Suisun City, Vacaville, Vallejo
In what would certainly be considered good news to eager home buyers, the supply of existing homes for sale went up last week in four of the five cities in our Solano County market area.
Vallejo, Benicia, Fairfield and Suisun all have more homes for sale today than they did a week ago.
Meanwhile, Vacaville, which hadn’t seen its housing inventory decline in almost a month, unexpectedly saw its supply plummet a whopping 1 3.3% in one week.
A quick recap of some of the more meaningful numbers:
- Vacaville’s supply went from 226 homes a week ago to 196 today.
- Vacaville had 36 newly pending sales last week — it’s highest total in 7 weeks.
- Benicia’s inventory went up by 6, but that still put it at its highest level since mid-June.
- Vallejo’s supply went up for the first time in 12 weeks.
- Fairfield had the biggest percentage increase, as its inventory climbed almost 9 percent in one week
- Fairfield also has honors this week as the city with the largest inventory (251). Next is Vallejo (222), Vacaville (196), Benicia (94) and Suisun (50).
