Weekly Solano Real Estate Report For Sept. 7: Supply Nosedives In Vaca…Up Everywhere Else

weekly-solano-home-reportIn what would certainly be considered good news to eager home buyers, the supply of existing homes for sale went up last week in four of the five cities in our Solano County market area.

Vallejo, Benicia, Fairfield and Suisun all have more homes for sale today than they did a week ago.

Meanwhile, Vacaville, which hadn’t seen its housing inventory decline in almost a month, unexpectedly saw its supply plummet a whopping 1 3.3% in one week.

August Home Sales Report For Solano County: More Proof That Better Times Lie Ahead

Solano Monthly Home Sales Report - Click HereIt’s the first week of the month and you know what that means — time to publish the monthly home sales statistics for Solano County.

There was quite a spread last month, with the lowest home sale a condominium in Vallejo that fetched $27,700 and the highest a 9-acre ranch in Vacaville that sold for a cool $1 million.

Real estate certainly seems to be on everyone’s mind these days and for most people, the big question is ‘have we really turned the corner’?

Things Are Looking Better, However…

Median Sales Price Appears To Be On Its Way Up In Several Local Cities…Others To Follow?

It’s hard to believe that only about six months ago we were still wondering how much longer before the local real estate market would finally start to show signs that better times were on the horizon.

Little did we know back then that prices were finally bottoming out.  And now, here we are in early September and not only are we continuing to see very strong home sales activity, but we’re now at long last, also starting to see a slight rise in home prices in some parts of Solano County.
